2011 GMC Acadia SLT-2

2011 GMC Acadia SLT-2 Car Review

2011 GMC Acadia After struggling with all my luggage, as usual, I arrived late into Tampa to a beautiful red-jewel tinted 2011 GMC Acadia. The dark red shone brightly in the light of the fluorescent parking lamps and I knew I was in for a treat with this SUV.  The first thing that caught my attention was the heads-up display, which posted the speed, radio station, outside temperature and my navigational information. This can all be customized but it helped keep my eyes on the road.

IMG_0018 The new Acadia was impressive in almost every way; its refined styling and smooth ride, responsive handling and impressive fuel economy all tied with a complete safety package. There were only a few negatives; the hood release was located directly above the radiator and the heat is enough to burn your hand in an emergency. Also, in my oppinion, lumbar support should be adjustable up and down in an almost $50,000 car. Finally, I prefer a tighter steering input when traveling at high speeds on expressways, I felt that it was a little touchy for a luxury car.

On the other hand, the storage, air conditioned seats, OnStar, the entertainment package and visibility made this a great choice for a luxury SUV and I’d recommend the Acadia. Take one for a spin today.
