2011 Mercedes Benz E-Class Wagon
Over 100-years-ago, Karl Benz and Bertha Benz developed the first car which is the Mercedes Benz, which in the past was considered to be a luxury car, but now has become much more affordable.
When we think of Mercedes today, luxury comes to mind and usually a dream car, but now they’re making cars that are a lot more affordable.
I test drove a 2011 Mercedes E350 Wagon. This wagon has four-matic which means it’s all wheel drive. The 268-horsepower “3.5-liter V6 engine “0-60mph in seven seconds means it has a little bit of pep.
Seven-speed driver adaptive automatic transmission so you don’t even feel the shifts in the transmission, so it was quite smooth.
The third row rear facing seat was not my favorite as I think of safety first, but the Harmon Kardon eight speaker sound system with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound was amazing!
The distronic assist package has active blind spot assistance and active lane keeping assistance, which is interesting. Some people like it, some people don’t.
If you drift out of the lane, it’ll actually bump you back in the lane and if you get too close to the vehicle in front of you it’ll actually slows the car down for you. This can be disconcerting for some people.
The Mercedes that I test drove was able to get 16 miles to the gallon in the city, 23 miles to the gallon highway and it retail priced at $56,200.
I didn’t want to get out of the car because of the multi contour seat with heat and massage!
The 2011 Mercedes Benz E-Class Wagon competitors you should consider are the Acura ZDX, Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon, Audi A6 Avant, and the Audi A7, BMW 5-Series Sports Wagon.
