2011 Saab 9-5
2011 Saab 9-5 Car Review by Lauren Fix
This is the 2011 Saab 9-5 turbo 4 sports sedan and I have to tell you it’s quite unique, with its ice black design both inside and out. Let’s take a look.
The 2011 Saab 9-5 turbo sedan is produced in Sweden. It gets 18 miles to the gallon in the city and 28 on the highway on premium fuel. It comes in all wheel drive or front wheel drive. It has a six speed automatic transmission and the vehicle I test drove was $44,755.
Standard on the 9-5 was 18 inch alloy wheels, active head restraints, cornering brake control, front, side, side curtain and rear seat outboard side airbags, as well as leather seating surfaces, heated and power seats and mirrors with memory, a cooled glove box, nine speaker audio sound system and power tilt sliding sunroof. The Saab has a special night panel feature and so much more. It was quite loaded.
As a European sedan, it’s not the German competition, but it had a unique design, good handling and it’s priced right. It competes with the Audi A-6, Infiniti G37 X Sport, the Buick Regal CXL, the BMW 528, the Volvo s-80 and the Acura RL.
I really liked the new design and styling, comfortable interior and huge trunk, the adjustable arm rest, the airplane-style speed indicator and its tight handling features.
I didn’t like the rear headroom, as it can be a little tight and I wish it had a few more techy options.
The new Saab 2011 9-5 turbo is the best Saab ever. It offers a nice combination of Swedish flair, peppy turbocharged 4-cylinder performance and driving dynamics worthy of a Saab badge.
Remember that when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in that class and check the internet.
