2013 Subaru BRZ
The 2013 Subaru BRZ is a rear-wheel drive performance car that is easy to drive and a real head-turner. Let’s take a closer look.
Model — 2013 Subaru BRZ
MPG — 22 city / 30 hwy.
Engine — 2.0L 4-cyl. engine that produces 200 hp. Riding on 17″ alloy wheels with summer performance tires
Transmission – 6-speed manual or optional 6-speed automatic
Price — starts $25,495
The 2013 Subaru BRZ was really fun to drive on back roads and comfortable and nimble on highways. The Premium trim level of my test car came with a manual transmission but an automatic is available on the limited trim level.
Standard features include a navigation system, Bluetooth with iPod input, satellite radio, power windows and lock and remote keyless entry. Safety features include side curtain airbags, stability control and traction control.
The all-new Subaru BRZ is a sporty little car with striking resemblance to the recently introduced Scion FR-S. The fact is, besides a few minor details, the 2013 BRZ and FR-S are identical twins.
The BRZ is not a traditional Subaru offering, which typically include all-wheel drive and four doors. The ride, details and performance add a new, positive spin on Subaru that will surprise you.
Competes with:
• Toyota FRS
• Mazda Miata
• Hyundai Genesis Coupe
Likes:
• Affordability
• Light and well-balanced chassis
• Tight steering with good handling
• Fuel economy
• Comfortable front seats
• Generous standard features
• Unique styling
Dislikes:
• Small back seat and trunk
• The stereo system could be more hi-tech
• Needs more seat adjustability
The all-new 2013 Subaru BRZ is a surprisingly fun-to-drive sports car that looks great, handles well and is affordable.
Remember, when shopping for a new car, test drive as many vehicles as you can in the class you are looking in to make sure you find the car that is best for you. For more information, visit www.subaru.com.
