The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB 250 is an all-new crossover SUV that slots in between the subcompact GLA and larger GLC. Offered in as a GLB 250 & GLB 250 4Matic this is an all-new entry level crossover for Mercedes. This CUV is a more boxy looking vehicle compared to others in the Mercedes lineup. The new Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) presents the new-generation of Voice Control, including Natural Language Understanding and Keyword Activation (“Hey Mercedes”), she can listen and respond like Siri or Alexa. The 7” Digital Instrument Cluster and 7” Touchscreen Multimedia Display, is large and modern; the optional larger Premium Package including Blind Spot Assist, 10.25” media display with Touchscreen, 10.25” digital instrument cluster, KEYLESS-GO Package really is impressive and class-leading. The most impressive technology is the multimedia package including Mercedes Benz Navigation with Augmented Reality for Navigation and Traffic Sign Assist. The video will show you how impressive it is and a great asset for those that are directionally challenged.

The technology doesn’t end there, the Parking Assistance Package with Surround View System and Active Parking Assist ranks up there with the best available today. If you are an audiophile you will be impressed with the Burmeister Surround Sound System, it’s one of the best on the market and is an optional item.

Inside the GLB it offers an 8-Way power driver and passenger seats on both front seats and with 3-position memory that offer massage as well and heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats plus a heated steering wheel. The rear seats have 7-Stage Inclination and forward and backward adjustment which is great for car seats. These are impressive options at this price point, other brands don’t offer these options until you are way over the $50,000 range. This will be part of what persuade drivers to step into a Mercedes GLB.

The handling and performance are a huge part of owning a cross-over, the Mercedes offers a 2L Turbo engine with 221 horsepower, front-wheel-drive or AWD (4MATIC) options and 18” wheels with all-season run-flat tires. The ride was best in class due to the suspension with Adaptive Damping System. Fuel economy was pretty good considering the weight and performance of the GLB. The 250 earned 23 city / 30 highway / 26 combined MPG and the 4MATIC 23 city / 31 highway / 26 combined.

The GLB competes in a very large fiend of German and Japanese cars including the BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, Range Rover Discovery Sport, VW Tiguan, Lexus RX-L, Jaguar E-Pace, Range Rover Evoque, Acura RDX, and Infiniti QX50

Pricing for the GLB250 is $36,600 and GLB250 4Matic: $39,595.
