The 2023 Dodge Hornet R/T Plus PHEV (Plug-in electric vehicle) is a muscle-bound small SUV with a plug. The all-new small SUV is based on the Alfa Romeo Tonale. It offers two turbocharged engines, with the upgrade being a plug-in hybrid engine option. Dodge calls the Hornet its first compact crossover SUV.

The standard Hornet packs 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, R/T Plus – 1.3L engine / Plug-in hybrid Hybrid system net power output – 288 hp. / 383 lb-ft With over 30 miles of electric-only driving range. Charging time on a level 2 charger is around two and a half hours. 6-speed automatic transmission Standard All-wheel 0-60 MPH is 6.1 seconds Towing capacity 2,000 lbs—premium unleaded gas Four-wheel independent suspension 18” painted alloy wheels Drives like an Alfa Tonale.

Pros :

• Available plug-in-hybrid powertrain, and peppy acceleration from both models, the standard features list is fairly generous.

Cons:
