“To date one of the rarest Ferraris ever built, you are looking at one of the most prized Ferrari collector’s pieces yet. Look in any serious Ferrari collection, and you will typically find an F50. It is a staple for the Ferrari enthusiast for many reasons. Starting off with some performance, this car certainly delivers. With an F1 inspired V12 engine good for 513 Horse Power, this car will scoot from a standstill to 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds; keep in mind that this car came out in the mid-nineties, this time is still quicker than some super cars being produced today. Its racing-inspired suspension allows it to be very quick in the turns as well. Its racing prototype brother, the F50 GT, was faster than Ferrari’s own racecar, the 333SP, and that was purpose-built. The F50 GT simply was a modified F50 chassis. This speaks volumes to the technical prowess and sheer speed this vehicle could achieve.

“In terms of collectability, this car is one to keep your eyes on. The car was introduced at a $650,000 price tag when new, and today values are exceeding even that, edging closer to the 7 figure price range. For most automobile collectors, simply owning an F50 sometimes isn’t quite enough. Of the 349 chassis produced, 302 were red, which means if you are seeing one of these rare beauties, it will most likely be red. The avid enthusiast hunts for chassis finished in a rarer color, like Yellow in which 31 cars were finished, or for the ultra-rare versions, Black or Silver, only 4 examples in each color.

“Truly a wonderful car to behold, a classic car for the ages, and a nice addition to anyone’s automotive collection portfolio.”
