Delphi gives up crucial documents in the GM Lawsuit

Delphi works with plaintiffs in the GM defective ignition class action Lawsuit

Delphi - Faulty ignition switch makerDelphi Automotive, a parts manufacturer, turned over thousands of documents in exchange for legal considerations in the deadly GM ignition switch recall.

Initially, Delphi, the manufacturer of the faulty switches, had refused to cooperate with the GM internal investigation. Instead they decided to turn over evidence to plaintiffs.

The result will save Delphi millions of dollars in defense fees and will likely decrease the time needed for the deposition process. Delphi maintains that it built the faulty switches to GMs specifications that ultimately lead to the recall of 2.59 million cars and over 200 deaths.
