GM Still Has Work to Do to Overcome Lethal Defect – GM Lethal Defect

General Motors “set a great example” by firing 15 higher-ups tied to lethally defective ignition switches in its vehicles, but new CEO Mary Barra may have more in-house purging to do to get GM back on track, automotive writer Lauren Fix told Newsmax TV on Wednesday.

Between GM’s famously slow-moving corporate culture and reports that even more fatalities might be blamed on the faulty switches, the storied car company is still mired in its first major crisis since the Obama administration rescued it from insolvency, Fix told “Midpoint” host Ed Berliner.

Lauren Fix, The Car Coach is the host of a new, candid automotive segment for Newsmax TV called “Put the Pedal to the Metal.” The segment airs weekly on DirectTV Channel 37 and through Dish Network.
