November 2014 Hot Car of the Month – 2006 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

2006 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo

From Photographer, Matt Wetzel…

“This month’s hot car is the 2006 Saleen S7 Twin Turbo. This American-made super car is one of the fastest cars in world. Power is plentiful, starting at 750hp, and increasing to 1000hp with the later model years. The car pictured has 800 horsepower, provided compliments of a 7.0L racing engine. The S7 Twin Turbo is capable of 248 mph, which places it among a very rarefied crowd in the 240mph+ club, a place in which only a handful of cars reside. The car accelerates to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, which will make your neighbor’s Ferrari look slow in comparison. If you are looking to purchase a S7 Twin Turbo, it may take you awhile to find one; only 74 chassis were produced in total, and of that, only 29 feature the Twin Turbo engine. With values on the rise, automotive collectors are snapping up the few cars on the market and buying them at a premium. Trading on the market has been consistently right around $500,000. With production ending in 2007, values will continue to rise for the few that can call these cars their own. A true racecar on the road, the Saleen S7 Twin Turbo is an American car taking the fight to the rest of the super car world.”
